THE ODESSA REVIEW NEW ISSUE
Cinema wasn’t invented in America, but it was America that turned it from cheap entertainment into art. With the help of cinema, America created and presented its unique way of life, now imitated by the entire world. On May 12, Green Theater is welcoming film critic Andrey Alferov to give a lecture on how Hollywood became the world’s cinematic Mecca. The lecture will be an exciting journey from the first film screening in New York’s music-hall Koster and Bial’s to La La Land’s erroneous Oscar win.
